Terms of Service

1. Service Overview

Toolsbase (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") is a free collection of web tools operated by Localstyle Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), covering a wide range of purposes including text processing, image conversion, network diagnostics, developer utilities, and various calculators. No account registration is required, and all features are available free of charge.

Most tools provided by the Service use client-side processing that runs within the user's browser, and input data is not sent to or stored on our servers as a general rule. However, some network tools such as IP lookup, DNS lookup, and Whois lookup communicate with external services to retrieve results.

2. Terms of Use

The Service is available to anyone free of charge, subject to agreement with these Terms. If a user engages in activities that violate these Terms, applicable laws, or interfere with the operation of the Service, the Company may restrict access.

The Service may be used from any location worldwide. However, users are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations of their country or region of residence.

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited when using the Service:

• Acts that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals
• Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service (excessive access, scraping, unauthorized server access, etc.)

• Using the tools of the Service to generate, convert, or distribute illegal content

• Using automated tools to place excessive load on the Service

4. Data Handling

Data entered into the tools of the Service is processed exclusively within the user's browser as a general rule and is not sent to or stored on the Company's servers. However, network tools (IP lookup, DNS lookup, Whois lookup, etc.) send entered domain names or IP addresses to external services to provide functionality.

5. Integration with External Services

Some tools in the Service integrate with external APIs and services to provide functionality. When using external services, the terms of service and privacy policies of those services apply. Some features may become unavailable due to outages, specification changes, or access restrictions of external services.

External services used include IANA RDAP Bootstrap, RDAP services of various registries, and JPRS WHOIS, among others. When queries are made to these services, information such as entered domain names or IP addresses is transmitted to the respective service providers.

6. Advertising

The Service uses third-party advertising services (Google AdSense) to cover operational costs. Advertising providers may use cookies to display ads based on user interests. To disable personalized ads, you can change your settings on Google's ad settings page.

The content of advertisements is determined by the advertising providers, and the Company assumes no responsibility for the content of advertisements. Links within advertisements lead to external websites that are not managed by the Company.

7. Cookies and Analytics

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies to improve the service and enhance usability. Additionally, the Service uses Google Analytics for access analysis, collecting user access information (IP address, browser information, pages viewed, etc.) anonymously.

Users can disable cookies through their browser settings. However, disabling cookies may cause some features to not function properly.

8. Disclaimer

The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or usefulness of any calculations, conversions, or outputs provided by the tools. Tool outputs are reference values only, and for important decisions or professional use, please verify results through alternative methods.

The Company assumes no responsibility for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence. This also applies to cases where some features become unavailable due to specification changes, downtime, or access restrictions of external services.

9. Service Changes, Interruptions, and Termination

The Company may change, add, delete, temporarily suspend, or permanently terminate service content without prior notice. The Company is not responsible for any damages caused to users by such changes, interruptions, or termination.

The Service may be temporarily suspended for scheduled maintenance or emergency system repairs. We will endeavor to provide advance notice when possible, but this may not always be feasible in emergency situations.

10. Copyright and Intellectual Property

The copyright and other intellectual property rights of content published on the Service (text, images, design, source code, logos, etc.) belong to the Company or the rightful owners. Unauthorized reproduction, copying, modification, or redistribution of such content is prohibited.

The copyright of output generated using the tools of the Service (converted text, calculation results, etc.) belongs to the owner of the original input data. The Company claims no rights over any output generated by users through the use of the Service's tools.

11. Links

Linking to the Service is generally permitted regardless of whether it is for commercial or non-commercial purposes. However, linking in a manner that damages the credibility of the Service or displaying the Service within frames is prohibited.

Where the Service contains links to external sites, the Company assumes no responsibility for the content or safety of linked sites. Use of external sites is at the user's own risk.

12. Changes to Terms

The Company may change these Terms as needed. For significant changes, notification will be provided through appropriate means on the Service. Changes to the Terms will take effect when posted on this page, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
