FAQ

What happens if the text already has bullet markers?

Existing bullet markers (such as bullet points, dashes, asterisks, or numbered prefixes) are automatically detected and removed, then replaced with the selected style.

Can I use this to format Markdown lists?

Yes. The dash (-) and asterisk (*) styles produce valid Markdown list syntax. Use the numbered style for ordered lists in Markdown documents.

How is indentation (nesting) handled?

Leading spaces and tabs are detected to preserve nesting levels. Hierarchical lists are formatted while maintaining their structure.

Are numbers assigned automatically for numbered lists?

Yes, when you select the numbered style, numbers are automatically assigned starting from 1. Numbering resets for each nesting level.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. Formatting runs as JavaScript in your browser. Text data is not transmitted externally.
