About Timezone Overlap Planner

Timezone Overlap Planner helps distributed teams find common working hours by visually comparing work schedules across multiple timezones. Add up to 5 timezones and instantly identify the time windows where everyone is available. As global teams and remote work become the norm, coordinating meetings across cities like Tokyo, London, and New York has become a daily challenge. This tool eliminates manual time zone math by presenting overlapping availability as a clear visual timeline. Unlike basic time zone converters, it focuses specifically on the constraint that actually matters — each person's working hours — so you only see time slots that are genuinely usable for everyone. Use it before sending a calendar invite to confirm that a proposed meeting time is actually feasible for all participants.

FAQ

How many timezones can I add?

You can add up to 5 timezones for comparison. The overlap result will be shown as soon as you add at least 2 timezones.

Why does it show zero hours of overlap?

If the configured work hours do not intersect across all timezones, the overlap will be zero. Try extending work end times or starting earlier to create overlap.

Does the tool account for daylight saving time?

Yes, daylight saving time is automatically applied based on the selected timezone. The UTC offset shown reflects the current offset for today's date.

How is this different from a regular time zone converter?

A time zone converter shows what a specific time looks like in another location. This tool goes further by factoring in each person's work hours and calculating the actual usable overlap window — making it a planning tool rather than just a conversion tool.

Can I set night shift or early morning work hours?

Yes, work start and end times can be set freely between 0:00 and 23:00, so you can accurately represent night shift workers or early starters when calculating overlap.

How do I share the overlap result with my team?

Click the 'Copy' button to copy the overlap information as text to your clipboard. You can then paste it directly into Slack, email, or any other communication tool to share with your team.
